Digital Subscriber Line, or DSL, is an Internet connection that enters your home or business on a phone line. RT DSL is ADSL provisioned on a phone line from RT Communications. 
DSL is limited to distance and copper line performance. RT DSL can be provisioned at speeds ranging from 128k up to 1.5Mbps (downstream speed). 
Standalone RT DSL is DSL without an RT phone line. At a cost of $30 more per month, you can receive DSL without the need for a land line, making it a winning situation for cell phone users.

You may rent the modem rather than purchasing a modem for use on the DSL system. Please refer to notes at left for modem rental cost, and to the order form for modem purchase. Visionary offers a modem purchase for ADSL products, allowing you to avoid a monthly cost. There are benefits to both, and you must decide which you prefer. 
Of the many tools that exist to qualify your line for DSL, none are entirely accurate. In many situations, these tools report that you cannot get DSL when your location qualifies.
